cranberry sauce with tangerine

This cranberry sauce is simple to throw together and tastes fantastic. The tangerine flavor is a nice variation on typical orange.

Serves 6

1 bag cranberries (fresh or frozen)
zest of one tangerine
juice of one tangerine
1 cup refined sugar
1 cup water
Pinch salt
Pinch cinnamon

In a medium saucepan, bring water and cranberries to a boil over high heat. Add remaining ingredients, stir, and reduce heat to medium. Cook mixture, covered, for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, or until cranberries have all burst and sauce has thickened.
